Made entirely out of stainless steel, the bottomless portafilter head is designed for heavy commercial use - with universal portafilter slugs/wings, our Pesado portafilter will fit most machines' make and models.
Since the first anodized alloy portafilter handle back in 2014, we have now created over 16 different handles to pair perfectly with any aesthetic. Choose from a wide range of metallic or wooden ends developed for those with luxury in mind, or treat yourself to our environmentally friendly, RAYA wooden handle.

Produces a great high extraction espresso using the basket and portafilter combo.
I needed to drop about 5/6 steps on my DF54 grinder (Was around 18 for a normal basket and around 13 for HE basket) Dripping like honey and forming a a
uni funnel within about 7 seconds from start of flow. Perfect in my opinion.
The portafilter handle does not fit the Bezzera BZ group. The lip above the wings is too high by at least 1.5mm. No matter how much I attempted to convey this to customer service, I only got suggestions like, "we may need to file down the wings" or "we can also look at finding a thinner group seal...." I actually had a thinner gasket, which did make it fit a little better, but still not correctly. Customer service seemed alright with that even though I am not.
This is unacceptable. This should work right out the box with a stock gasket. Also, I asked for pictures of what the portafilter body should look like because the one sent seems so far off that I think it is the wrong one, but my request was just ignored.
Looks good, matches machine, locks in nicely, good quality recommended for la marzocco micra owners who feel let down by the plastic portafilter attachments which come with the machine. I use this with the spouted attachment and I am very happy with it as an alternative.
I was gifted a Pesado HE basket, but it didn’t fit my ECM portafilter. I decided to order the Pesado portafilter, thinking it should solve the issue—and it did, perfectly. The basket and portafilter fit the group flawlessly, and the design looks absolutely stellar.
While I usually prefer a heavier portafilter, the Pesado strikes an ideal balance between heft and lightness, maintaining a premium feel without being cumbersome. The lighter weight is actually a pleasant surprise, making workflow smoother without sacrificing quality. My old portafilter has now been officially retired!
Great craftsmanship - real heavy. Goes nicely with my machine’s finish. The LM handle is maybe a bit big for the Nota’s grouphead (locks in at around 7 ‘o clock), maybe should have gone with the standard e61 handle.
Good body construction and finishing. Heavy Duty Portafilter. I only give four stars because they sent me a wrong size of filter basket. 🤦🏻♀️ And doesn’t fit perfectly in my machine at the 6’oclock position. However one of their Customer Agent name Daniel was very helpful patient.🙌 They sent me a new “head” and correct size of the filter basket. (Changing to a thinner gasket on the group head)
It’s still works great and makes a great espresso. ☕️🫘🤎
