Introducing the Pesado HD Espresso Shower Screen. This HD Espresso Shower Screen is designed for precision and consistency, eliminating the main issues causing irregular extractions.
Uneven water distribution has always been an issue when trying to achieve consistent extractions, this can be caused by the irregular water flow path through mesh shower screens, smaller surface area coverage and uneven puck infusion.
Utilizing 18 channels, this HD espresso shower can target the exact spots of every extraction, resulting in consistent water flow between every shot.
Combined with the unique feature of the outer channels running all the way to the edge of the espresso shower screen, controlling water flow to target the entire puck bed right to the basket edge, giving us complete control over our water diffusion for every shot.

Overview: Our new diffusion disc corrects the off-centered water flow built into the Breville Barista Express group head. Paired with our High Diffusion Shower Screen, it re-centres the water and distributes it evenly through 18 precision channels.

Perfection! I wish I had changed this sooner. When I removed the plastic Breville shower screen (pictured), it was cracked. Water was very skewed, and there was a little jet at the edge. The black plastic was also flaking off at the crack, almost like a powder between my fingers raising concerns about consuming microplastics. Once I installed the Pesado, I could tell a difference in taste and the flow rate was perfectly even. Love it, totally worth it!!
Immediate improvement - much higher extraction output, smoother and more even distribution - easy to replace OEM screen. Love it!

Replaced the OEM plastic shower screen as soon as I had set up the Breville Oracle Jet. Wasn't going to wait for the crack to happen.
Once I removed the shower screen screw and removed the OEM diffuser plate and shower screen, I noted that the original plastic diffuser plate was broken into three pieces. Installation of the new diffuse plate and screen was a breeze, and the whole thing only took about five minutes. I'll fire it up tomorrow and I look forward to getting some beautiful shots from my open portafilter.

Breville’s 54mm Barista Express, Infuser & Duo-Temp machines rely on a water path built on one side of the group head, often leading to uneven flow. Our 54mm diffusion disc redirects the water flow to the center, then combined with our high diffusion shower screen redistributes water evenly across the entire puck center outwards, eliminating side-biased extractions and giving you balanced flavour in every shot.

The problem is, where that water bursts out changes every shot… so you never really know what you’re going to get. Our high diffusion shower screen redistributes water evenly across the entire puck, eliminating inconsistencies, giving you balanced flavour in every shot.

Behind the stock shower screen on Breville’s 58mm machines sits a plastic diffusion plate that can warp and crack over time, disrupting water flow. Our full 100% stainless steel diffusion plate and high diffusion shower screen replaces that weak point, delivering consistent coverage across the puck for cleaner, more reliable extractions.
Crafted entirely from stainless steel, with 18 targeted channels the NEW Pesado HD High Diffusion Shower Screen gives complete control over your water distribution, every extraction.
Regular espresso shower screens use a mesh to help distribute the water flow evenly, this does work quite well but unfortunately, it can result in uneven water distribution. This is due to the water gripping to the mesh, causing an irregular water flow every extraction.
The HD High Diffusion Espresso Shower Screen has been designed with channels to distribute the water flow exactly where we want it to be every time. Using this method allows us to hit the exact area we need to every extraction, distributing the water flow outwards across the entire puck bed, evenly. The HD Shower Screen also has a unique feature where the outer channels run all the way to the edge, allowing water to flow directly out the ends into the basket wall.
Most shower screens are only designed to cover up to 54mm in diameter, leaving between 4-5mm around the perimeter, resulting in a smaller surface area of about 10-15% less coverage. Utilizing the unique design of the water channels that run all the way to the edge of the shower screen, including the extended diameter of 58.35mm of surface area, we can target the entire puck bed all at once resulting in a full, and complete infusion.

The HD Shower Screen is designed to target the entire surface area of the puck bed, consistently every extraction. Utilizing an 18-channel design that targets up to 58.35mm of surface area, we can target the same spots of the puck bed every shot. This creates consistent, precise water diffusion.
Regular mesh shower screens cause erratic water diffusion due to the water gripping to the mesh and flowing completely different paths every extraction. This creates variables every time you extract that you cannot control.

1) Simply unscrew the center shower screw on your shower screen, and detach the shower screen from the group head.
2) Make sure to clean any residue on the group head before screwing in the new shower screen. We recommend doing a complete backflush before using new shower screen.
3) Screw in the new 54HD high diffusion shower screen using your current shower screw, and you are good to go!
Breville 58mm (MVHD) Shower Screen:
1) Simply unscrew the center shower screw on your shower screen, and detach the shower screen and plastic diffusion plate together from the group head.
2) Make sure to clean any residue on the group head before screwing in the new shower screen. We recommend doing a complete backflush before using new shower screen.
3) Place the new 100% stainless steel diffusion plate against the new HD shower screen, making sure the indent on the diffusion plate is facing away from the shower screen.
4) Screw in the new MVHD high diffusion shower screen and diffusion plate together using your current shower screw, and you are good to go!
When using the HD espresso shower screen daily we recommend using a cleaning brush to keep the outer surface and channels free of coffee grounds.
Once a week we recommend a full clean, which involves unscrewing the shower screen and washing both the shower screen plate and screws under water. This will ensure no buildup, and a clean and consistent flow of water for every extraction.
