High Diffusion Espresso Shower Screen - Breville

The HD Shower Screen is designed to target the entire surface area of the puck bed, consistently every extraction. Utilizing an 18-channel design that targets up to 58.35mm of surface area, we can target the same spots of the puck bed every shot. This creates consistent, precise water diffusion.

Regular mesh shower screens cause erratic water diffusion due to the water gripping to the mesh and flowing completely different paths every extraction. This creates variables every time you extract that you cannot control.

Breville 54mm (EX54HD) Shower Screen:

1. First, remove the water tank, drip tray and bean hopper from your machine. This will make sure no water or beans are spilled on your bench or machine during installation process.
2. Then flip your machine onto is back so you have direct access to the group head, and unscrew your current shower screen.
3. Lay the diffusion disc flat onto the group head so it sits inside the group head grooves, while holding this in place using one finger simply place the 54HD high diffusion shower screen over the diffusion disc, make sure the disc does not come out of place or else this will not lock in correctly.
4. Then using your current shower screw, screw in the high diffusion shower screen making sure the disc stays in place.
5. Now flip you machine back up the correct way, re-connect your water tank, drip tray and bean hopper. Now you are ready to go.

Breville 54mm (54HD) Shower Screen:

1) Simply unscrew the center shower screw on your shower screen, and detach the shower screen from the group head.

2) Make sure to clean any residue on the group head before screwing in the new shower screen. We recommend doing a complete backflush before using new shower screen.

3) Screw in the new 54HD high diffusion shower screen using your current shower screw, and you are good to go!

Breville 58mm (MVHD) Shower Screen:

1) Simply unscrew the center shower screw on your shower screen, and detach the shower screen and plastic diffusion plate together from the group head.

2) Make sure to clean any residue on the group head before screwing in the new shower screen. We recommend doing a complete backflush before using new shower screen.

3) Place the new 100% stainless steel diffusion plate against the new HD shower screen, making sure the indent on the diffusion plate is facing away from the shower screen.

4) Screw in the new MVHD high diffusion shower screen and diffusion plate together using your current shower screw, and you are good to go!

When using the HD espresso shower screen daily we recommend using a cleaning brush to keep the outer surface and channels free of coffee grounds.

Once a week we recommend a full clean, which involves unscrewing the shower screen and washing both the shower screen plate and screws under water. This will ensure no buildup, and a clean and consistent flow of water for every extraction.
