Introducing the new Pesado x Gaggia HD Espresso Shower Screen. This HD Espresso Shower Screen is designed for precision and consistency, eliminating the main issues causing irregular extractions.
Uneven water distribution has always been an issue when trying to achieve consistent extractions, this can be caused by the irregular water flow path through mesh shower screens, smaller surface area coverage and uneven puck infusion.
Utilizing 18 channels, this HD espresso shower can target the exact spots of every extraction, resulting in consistent water flow between every shot.
Combined with the unique feature of the outer channels running all the way to the edge of the espresso shower screen, controlling water flow to target the entire puck bed right to the basket edge, giving us complete control over our water diffusion for every shot.

Gaggia 58mm (GAHD) Shower Screen:
1) Simply unscrew the 2 center shower screws on your shower screen, and detach the shower screen and steel diffusion plate together from the group head.
2) Make sure to clean any residue on the group head before screwing in the new shower screen. We recommend doing a complete backflush before using new shower screen.
3) Place the new 100% stainless steel diffusion plate against the new HD shower screen, making sure the indent on the diffusion plate is facing away from the shower screen.
4) Screw in the new GAHD high diffusion shower screen and diffusion plate together using your current shower screws, and you are good to go!

The HD Shower Screen is designed to target the entire surface area of the puck bed, consistently every extraction. Utilizing an 18-channel design that targets up to 58.35mm of surface area, we can target the same spots of the puck bed every shot. This creates consistent, precise water diffusion.
Regular mesh shower screens cause erratic water diffusion due to the water gripping to the mesh and flowing completely different paths every extraction. This creates variables every time you extract that you cannot control.

When using the HD espresso shower screen daily we recommend using a cleaning brush to keep the outer surface and channels free of coffee grounds.
Once a week we recommend a full clean, which involves unscrewing the shower screen and washing both the shower screen plate and screws under water. This will ensure no buildup, and a clean and consistent flow of water for every extraction.

I never take the time to write a review. I just installed this on my gaggia classic pro, and the difference in water flow is significantly noticeable, my standard set up before the install was not consistent with the flow of water. Highly recommend
It was day and night the comparison it showers way better than the original is a must have. On my Gaggia pro evo.
The upgrade was amazing for the Gaggia Classic. It’s a must! It took about 10” to install and the improvement was immediate. It turn out the original shower screen is aluminum and corroded. It is high quality and I expect to last me for years. The customer service is great too. I had a few questions and received quick detailed answers.

My espresso shots pull nice and even now with a wonderful water distribution throughout the puck. Pairing this with a 9 bar pressure spring makes a beautiful shot of espresso.
I’m genuinely impressed with this 58.8mm heavy shower screen for the Gaggia Classic Pro. Installation was quick and straightforward, and it fit perfectly without any hassle. The build quality feels excellent—solid, well-finished, and clearly made from good materials.
Huge improvement over ims and stock shower head. This needs to be a standard part in all consumer machines- not an upgrade. I have noticed a tendency for oils to make it between the two plates, more than usual though. When I clean the two new parts of this kit it takes longer to get them clean. Not anything that interferes with the overall quality. Thanks for taking us into the future, Pesado.

I don't notice much difference between yours and the original. I use pre-ground Illy espresso coffee.
This product clogged up with coffee grinds when some back pressure occurs and resulted in my breville oracle machine suffering a water pump burn out…. Be WARNED!!
It’s definitely not worth what I paid for it, and I had to buy a silicon gasket and a deeper porta-filter basket to make it work. I stopped using it. Pretty disappointed.
Really impressed with how constant my pulls are now. I was having issue with the previous factory screen unless you cleaned it regularly. Very impressed with the quality of the product.

Premium materials
Solid and easy upgrade for the gaggia. Quality heavy duty parts. Noticeably more even water flow compared to stock. Seems like I’ve had fewer and less dramatic gushers even when grinding coarser light roast turbo shots.
It has definitely made dialing in my espresso easier. Also, feel like my dosing is fitting better in the machine.

This will provide even flow if you're doing traditional flat 9 bar espresso, but if you're using a machine modified to do flow profiling (e.g. gaggiuino, gaggiamate), do not buy this. At flow rates of 4.5mL and up, it looks fairly even, but below that, the water comes out from one spot on the side, largely because the exit point from the boiler is on the left side.

The shower screen holder didn't work with my original screw. I had to source a shorter screw. Might need to make it a package with a new screw in future that fits.
