Noticeable Improvement in Espresso Extraction

I recently installed the Pesado shower screen on my Breville Touch Impress, and I’ve noticed a real difference in how the espresso flows from the bottomless portafilter. Before the upgrade, the espresso would often spray off to the sides before eventually coming together into a steady stream in the center. Since installing the Pesado screen, the flow has been much more uniform from the start, forming a consistent stream without the side spraying.

It’s a simple upgrade, but I’m happy with the improvement. Definitely a worthwhile addition to my setup!

Good replacement shower screen. The mesh filter doesn't fit my Barista Express however. Overall the extraction pressure is significantly improved.

My Barista Express was already modified for precise 9 bar shots. This new shower screen has kept them spot on with even water flow!!!

My Sage Bambino Plus is only 4 months old. My double shots were all pulling slightly faster than previously despite the same beans and grinder (DF54). They would “blonde” after 5 seconds suggesting channeling and/or poor water distribution. I was using the supplied 54mm basket but had changed to a bottomless portafilter. The Pesado purchase was speculative since the images attached demonstrate the issue I was facing. A reduction in flow as demonstrated in the images alone were not enough for Sage to proceed with a warranty inspection. Sage wanted video, details of beans, roasting date, grind size and technique. My poor shots all went away immediately when in installed the Pesada 54mm Sage/Breville-specific shower screen. Gone. This rather proves my issue is a warranty job for Sage but for now I’m enjoying my coffee again.

Made my coffee so much better. I can tell the extraction is way better than before, and that makes the taste more intense and rich.
Bought two more for my friends as a Christmas present.💪🏼

Immediate improvement to the espresso, the colour alone was noticeably better. Will tweak my grind and see if I can improve if possible. Really really happy with with this screen. Great job on the instruction video too. Thank you.

We bought the High Diffusion Espresso Shower Screen and contact Mesh Kit. they arrived within two days, and I am very impressed by the quality of the shower screen. The YouTube video helped me to replace pretty quickly. Now I am able to make my morning Coffee Late at cafe shops quality. Great Product and highly recommended.

Great product! Has fixed the channeling issues i was having with my Sage express impress.
Had a hiccup with the origional order and service we impeccable, within 24hrs of me messaging a fix was organised. Couldn't have asked for more!

Wasn’t sure if it would actually work but seriously pours so nice now. I’m a barista and used to roast coffee too so I know how a good pour looks. Epic product!!

What a difference with this shower upgrade. Flows much better and have more Crema. Coffee tastes so much better.

We noticed a degree of inconsistency with our Breville Oracle Touch from one coffee to the next. So when I saw the Pesado video that demonstrated how they could fix it I thought I’d try it, after all it’s not that expensive. My first impression was what a beautiful and precise piece of engineering this is, a work of art. It was very easy to fit and my wife and I immediately noticed the difference. We now appreciate how much more consistent our coffees are and, this may sound strange, it tastes much smoother. Good job Pesado!

Definitely a huge difference!

My Breville oracle is about 12 years old, used daily and has been a great workhorse for us. It's been making a few odd noises for the last year or so, but still working okay, after seeing the pesado shower screen options I figured I could likely benefit from the upgrade. When I unscrewed the old shower screen and got to the plastic plate underneath, it basically crumbled apart when touched. I Gave the machine a good clean and installed the new screens and we're back in full swing with no weird noises happening anymore and great even shot brewing. Thanks pesado!

Has made a huge difference , water flow is now equal across the tamped coffee . The taste has also improved (I assume because the water is flowing better through the coffee)

Found this product after seeing a video on TikTok. I had been having trouble getting my coffee right for a while and was at a point where I was just going to accept it was the best it could get with a home machine. However, after installing the diffuser shower screen everything started to behave the way it should and my coffee was so much better! This product is fantastic and does exactly what it says. It was super easy to install and recalibrating my machine after install was just as easy with the instruction videos on pesado585.com
