After tamping your coffee grounds, simply place the coffee puck diffuser screen on top of your coffee puck before inserting the portafilter into the coffee machine.
Puck screens help distribute water uniformly across the coffee puck, ensuring a more consistent extraction.
A powerful gush from the group head can sometimes cause channeling in your espresso shot, leading to uneven extraction. Pesado's coffee puck diffuser screen will help prevent channeling.
A coffee puck screen is an espresso metal filter or mesh that sits directly on top of your tamped coffee. The purpose of an espresso puck screen is to prevent channelling in the puck by distributing pressure across the entire surface.
Since the Pesado puck diffuser screen is 1.8mm thick, we recommend dosing less coffee as the coffee will expand and the puck screen might bend or hit the shower screen. Simply place the coffee puck diffuser screen on top of your coffee puck before inserting the portafilter into the machine to pour.
Simply rinse the puck diffuser screen after every use and when it needs a more thorough clean, soak it in cafetto or use a steam wand to clean it.

Great product. The water is flowing again. I added pics of the factory shower screen only after a few months of using it with a puck screen. This is easier to clean and the water comes out nice and even. I was having issues dialing in the perfect brew. Once I added the pesado, the creama is flowing. I definitely recommend getting this

The Pesado Puck Diffuser Screen is very stylish and sturdy. It helps to distribute water more evenly over the coffee grounds. I like that it keeps clean my Breville Bambino group head, and Pesado shower screen. Since I began to use it my espresso shots are smoother and more flavorful.

I did not know what is the difference among the other puck screens. It's different pattern topside and bottom side. It means it should be positioned top side with logo and bottom side is empty logo. I did not test with bottoms up but I surely can feel more wider on my hand through water flow on my hand with puck screen on. The edge is more soft compare to the other brand puck screen also. I recommend it, it's surely different.

Now there is an even distribution of water on my Breville Express Impress. The flow is picture perfect and I feel the dialing in process is more efficient. I have changed beans twice, so I had three separate opportunities ro dial in bean changes with the Pesado shower screen. I am also using the ultra thin puck screen. I do not have a very refined palate so I can not comment on any major taste differences of old versus new shower screen, but I am pulling great tasting shots. My pours look like the thick, warm honey that we all are chasing!
Hi Guys I have teh shower screenand they work great. I had no trouble with adjusting teh grind so that I get a good esspres of coffee. I later brout a Pck screen, but unfortunately I brought the 1.7mm thick one. I have managed to get this to work well on the double shot basket, but have no hope on a singlr shot basket. For thisd I would need the .2mm puck screen. I have been drawing coffee oat home ith my BES920 double boilerfor about 10 years. Prior to that it was cheap little machines that struggle to make anything that resembles coffee. I am currnetly using MIKRO Coffee beans to make my mornig breakfast.

This device is intriguing but it required me to do a lot of fiddling to make a coffee. I really haven't got a satisfying result so far. It also prevents me from using my second handle for single shots, so that's annoying.

I don’t know if it’s made that much of an improvement to be honest and every couple of days it wants to find a side to squirt from when rinsing. I have found the screen rather useless and awkward to remove. My Barista Express Impress (3 years old) makes a nice coffee with or without your product.
Unfortunately this is way too thick and does not fit under the shower screen when I'm using it so unfortunately it cannot be used.
Breville touch - portafilter wants to rotate out of position and drop into the cup 😬

I love the fact it’s not flimsy and it’s solid material however paired with the HD 54mm shower screen on my breville express with 18g of coffee the portafilter doesn’t fit. It feels like there isnt enough room between the coffee - puck screen - HD Shower screen.
