Loving seeing the naked filter form golden, rich crema.
Ordering was like taking a shot in the dark. First I bought the replacement part that goes on the machine, with the pesado basket and screen. After installing the part I could not use my breville double shot basket with the screen because it was too snug. Tried installing the Pesado basket into my breville portafilter and it is not compatible. So i reluctantly bought a $120 pesado portafilter. Finally the pieces fit together. Go make a coffee and this is what happens, coffee splatters all over my counter, no foam, coffee flavor is dull and it seems the extraction is rushed and incomplete. Overall an extremely frustrating and negative shopping experience. Took this video before taking everything off and going back to all the original breville parts, coffee was much better then, and I wasn’t making a mess of my entire counter.
You sent the wrong handle.

This is my second bottomless portafilter from Pesado. I like this full POM version better than the one with the heavy metal end. Although the latter is more balanced in the hand, I feel the full POM version provides less stress to the locking collars of the group head.

The Pesado Bottomless Breville 58 Portafilter, is well contructed and a quality piece of coffee brewing equipment. It fills neatly and provides a great pour with a great cremma. Occassionialy I get a multi spot pour, which can be a little issue if out on the outside edge, but I am working on the courseness of the bean grind. Easy to clean and refill. Highly recommended.
Whilst the construction of the metal part of the portafilter looks and feels of very high quality, I am disappointed that I cannot say the same for the “white” handle I choose. The plastic is translucent and light in the hand which gives it a low quality look and feel. Certainly not what I expected from a Pesado product and now regret my choice of handle colour.

Build quality matches what you pay for this product. I was worried but really impressed so far.
Excellent portafilter. Couples with my Breville Barista Pro extremely well. I really appreciate the tight tolerances. I can tell the design and quality teams really care about making a high quality product.
Fitment is very rough. Was asked by Daniel to use my OEM spring instead of the one sent with the order as it was also faulty. No replacement was offered. Won't recommend this to anyone. Poor craftsmanship.
Good quality and weight distribution. Works well with the Pesado puck screen when paired with the Pesado shower screen for the Breville Barista Express. The Original portafilter when paired with the Pasedo 18 g filter basket sits a little higher when grinding 16.5 g beans.
It's pretty but I hate it. It's well made, BUT: 1 - the handle is more angled than the Breville portfilter, making it harder to get stuff in. 2 - It's not a true bottomless portafilter - something you don't pick up in the pictures. It's got the screw thread for a bottom, which extends lower below the basket, meaning any drips on the side of the basket transfers to the portafilter and creates a drippy mess. As pretty and well-made as it is, it's a sad case of form over function.
Very sturdy. I appreciate the tilt on the portafilter. It makes it easier to put into the espresso machine.
It leaks and sprays coffee everywhere. Before purchasing I ensured I bought the correct one for my espresso machine.

This is a very well made solid bottomless porta filter. The handle is very high quality and is very heavy and solid. It allows me to monitor my extraction easily and fits my machine perfectly. A very welcome addition to my coffee making journey.
