Our 2.0 sets now come with a free 0.2mm contact mesh. This sits on top of the puck to retain its structure, further reducing channeling and improving diffusion. Bonus: it keeps your HD shower screen cleaner for longer, so there's less maintenance between pulls.
These shower screens are designed to help eliminate micro-channeling caused by irregular water diffusion during the pre-infusion phase. Creating the perfect foundation for great espresso.

The stock shower screen has a basket shaped design which has no way of directing the water flow consistantly where we want it to be during extractions. Now utilizing our one-of-a-kind integrated channels we can now target the exact same positions on the coffee puck every extraction. Precision water dispersion every espresso.

We have improved our stainless steel diffusion plate, by reducing it's weight and thickness we can now cater for slightly larger puck beds without effecting the water dispersions performance.
Crafted entirely from stainless steel, with 18 targeted channels the NEW Pesado HD High Diffusion Shower Screen gives complete control over your water distribution, every extraction.
Regular Breville 54mm shower screens use a basket shaped shower screen that captures the water flow then diffuses the water out across the coffee puck. Unfortunately these have no way to evenly diffuse the water and tend to bundle the flow into 2-4 thick streams which can break the puck causing excess channeling.
The HD High Diffusion Espresso Shower Screen has been designed with channels to distribute the water flow exactly where we want it to be every time. Using this method allows us to hit the exact area we need to every extraction, distributing the water flow outwards across the entire puck bed, evenly. The HD Shower Screen also has a unique feature where the outer channels run all the way to the edge, allowing water to flow directly out the ends into the basket wall.
Most shower screens are only designed to cover up to 54mm in diameter, leaving between 4-5mm around the perimeter, resulting in a smaller surface area of about 10-15% less coverage. Utilizing the unique design of the water channels that run all the way to the edge of the shower screen, including the extended diameter of 58.35mm of surface area, we can target the entire puck bed all at once resulting in a full, and complete infusion.

When using the HD espresso shower screen daily we recommend using a cleaning brush to keep the outer surface and channels free of coffee grounds.
Once a week we recommend a full clean, which involves unscrewing the shower screen and washing both the shower screen plate and screws under water. This will ensure no buildup, and a clean and consistent flow of water for every extraction.
