For a coffee tamper to be efficient, it must have a precise measurement. This, in turn, ensures that all your coffee is pressed evenly and covers most of the surface area in your filter basket.
This is where we stepped in to create a sharp-edged coffee tamper, packed with weight to help all barista levels control their tamping pressure and precision.
We designed this basket for domestic and commercial use, keeping our measurements to a 0.05mm variance, to make sure you have precision coffee tamping every time.
Pair our 58.5mm tamper with our depth adjuster to eliminate the need to check your tamping level! Easily fit the depth adjuster to any of our 58.5mm tamper to always tamp your coffee flat.
MATERIALS:
Coffee Tamper Base - 316 grade stainless steel.
POM Handle - Polyoxymethylene. An engineering thermoplastic used in precision parts requiring high stiffness, low friction, and excellent dimensional stability.
Modular Timber End - Birch wood vacuumed dyed, coated in a heat and water resistant wax. (Available in our signature timber modular ends Riga and Iris).
Modular Metallic End - Electro polish stainless steel (Available in 4 metallic colours)
Full Wooden Handle - Birch wood vacuumed dyed, coated in a heat and water resistant wax. (Available in our signature oak styled timber).
Dusk & Haze Modular Ends - 7-tone resin blend set in a honeycomb aluminium mesh. Available in our 2 signature colours Dusk and Haze

The 53.5 mm tamper is designed for Breville/Sage 54 mm group head machines, while the 58.5 mm tamper is precision-sized for most commercial 58 mm baskets. Choosing the correct size ensures the best fit and maximum basket coverage.
Unlike rounded tampers, our precision-machined 90° edge allows the tamper to reach right to the basket wall. This maximises coverage, reduces edge residues, and ensures a more even extraction every time.
Yes, every Pesado tamper is fully modular. You can choose from a range of handles including sleek POM, premium timbers, metallic ends, or our signature Raya design. Each handle can be swapped to match your style and workflow.

I am having trouble to get the right part from pesado and also not getting supported to return. I got the wrong product 58mm tamper instead of 53.5mm which I paid and ordered. The delivery took about a month and I got the wrong tamper. And then I received the replacement base plate 53.5mm. I’ve tried to replace it but the handle and the 58mm baseplate are very tightly locked even after unscrewed. The baseplate edge is very sharp so not easy to hold to detach from its handle but I tried. However it does not move an inch. I couldn’t safely or successfully disassemble to replace. I requested to send a new assembled product or refund. Pesado team is asking me to return the product without sending me the return label for refund. I am not sure what have i done wrong to pay for the return this case. I have been waiting and looking for so long to use Pesado products. I was super excited to make this bundle order over $400 at pesado and this experience is very frustrating.

Well made tamper for my Breville Barista Express
When you use the Pesado tamper for the first time you realise how bad the tamper that came with the coffee machine is. It’s very well built, heavy yet comfortable, after using the Gravity distributor, tamper gets precisely in the basket for perfect results and the sensation you are doing it great as a barista.

My 53.5 tamp does not mate with my Presado 54mm portafilter or the Presado manufactured 20mm basket. mechanical interference occurs within roughly 1 mm of actuation. It is not able to fit my use case. It could just be me under filling the basket with grounds, but I am disappointed that I can not tamp down further. I gave it two stars for this interference fit. That being said, this tamp is a work of art. It has outstanding machining and design. The base, handle, and honeycomb top seamlessly fit together as if they were one piece of material. Just outstanding craftsmanship. I have Recommended it to several friends.
